Sounds Write at the Central Conference of American Rabbis 117th National Convention
San Diego, CA June 18-21, 2006

The Sounds Write staff was delighted to exhibit at this conference held at the waterfront Manchester Grand Hyatt and warmly welcomed delegates to our own home town! Besides displaying and selling our music, we were often called upon for restaurant and activity recommendations in "America’s Finest City". On Sunday night an evening of celebration, prayer, song and spirit featured the Reform movement’s newest prayerbook, Mishkan T’filah. Service leaders Rabbi Alan Rabishaw, Cantor Nate Lam, and Craig Taubman led the gathering in prayer, followed by “From Bimah to Broadway: A Concert Celebrating and Honoring Jewish Composers”. Performers included Cantor Roslyn Barak, Cantor Arlene Bernstein, Cantor Jonathan Grant, Cantor Don Gurney, Cantor Evan Kent, Cantor Nate Lam, Cantor Patti Linsky, and Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot. On another evening the convention was entertained by comedian Joel Chasnoff and singer/songwriter Sam Glaser. It was a pleasure for us to greet old friends like Rabbi Larry Milder and to see people enjoying our city.
